Pike Lake Ultramarathon
When and Where
The race will be held at Pike Lake State Park, 1847 Pike Lake Rd, Bainbridge, OH 45612. Use caution with mapping software and apps as there are technically two Bainbridge locations in Ohio—we are not in Bainbridge Township! GPS generally does a good job of getting one to the park, and we will have parking well marked near the start/finish. Keep in mind that there is limited to no cell service in the park!
The race is Saturday, October 22. Start times and cut-offs are below. Packet pick-up, check-in, and other times will be announced in late September/early October, but anticipate an event on Friday night, October 21, at the park where you can meet other runners, preview the course, and get your packet ahead of time. We encourage you to do this to reduce lines on Saturday morning.
Start & Finish Times, Cut-offs
8:00am: 10km race start
8:30am: 50km race start
4:00pm: Headlamp check
6:00pm: Final lap start for 50km
8:30pm: 50km course cut-off (12 hours)
There is no “official” cut-off for the 10km race, but we expect all participants to be finished by 12:30pm. If you are not back to the start after that, we may come looking for you!
Award ceremonies for both distances will occur after the top 5 finishers of either scoring category have finished. We ask that those runners stick around for these events!
Food & Drink
Our food and drink partners for this year are Vida’s Plant-Based Butcher and Athletic Brewing. Vida’s will be serving food for purchase Friday night at packet pick-up and meet n’ greet, and brunch and dinner on Saturday during the race. Runners will receive one free meal on Saturday post-race (or during, if you 50km folks want to get really crazy) and a free non-alcoholic craft beer. Additional food & drink will be available for purchase for friends, family, and crew.

The Brandon C. Franzen Memorial Foundation, Inc. is officially certified as a non-profit for Ohio. Our main event will be the Brandon C. Franzen Memorial 5k Run/Walk, but we hope to build from there and continue working in the fight to help our Veterans.
